Well, its been a long time since I wrote in my Blog,
Just to Re-cap.. I left Canada.. went to germany for work.. and met a great girl.. we had a wonderful holiday in Spain together.. then I came home.. keeping in contact with Susi.. then I had to go back to Spain again for work and Susi came down from Germany for another holiday and I went back to germany with her for a few weeks then went back to little old N.Z. 🙁
4 months passed, talking to Susi every day on the old Interweb, and I was finally able to get back to Germany again and spent a whole month for a holiday, traveling around a bit of eastern Europe with Susi.
Now I am back in N.Z its coming up to 5 months being apart.. but summer is on the horizon, and Susi is coming to N.Z for a holiday (finally coming down to my end of the world!) She will be here for 6 months and I can’t wait!!
Lets hope I can be a little more disciplined and add another post on here before another 12 months is up. 😛
Hope everyone is well, and those I will see at Newyears! I can’t wait!

O.k.. so yesterday our mate Kelly, from the Pump and Tap Tavern (one of the locals we drink with every night) took us up to Lake louise for some Hiking… It was so beautiful up there, walking across the lake then around the side of the mountains…. you could hear the huge sound of avalanches echoing off the mountain walls, every couple of mins, however they were a long way off, we came to a part of the track where a huge avalanche had ripped down trees and settled just across the track where we were walking, we stopped to take photos of it then carried on, just as we were about to head up a small incline we heard an almighty rumble and a moderate size Avalanche came over the brow and headed right for us, we all turned and bolted back down the track to Safety, it was amazing to watch.. even a small amount of snow can still topple small pine trees, hate to think what it would do to my legs! so the track was pretty much covered and un passable and Kelly thought it would be safer to turn back and try a different walk track (one that didn’t go right through high avalanche risk areas) lucky we did turn back because a few min later we heard yet another Avalanche, this one was huge went on for about 40sec to a min.. and so loud.. if we had carried on we would be stuck under several meters of hard pack snow!! what a rush!! they are amazing to watch and the sound is incredible! after our narrow escape from death 😉 Kelly offered to drive us up the road about 120km to the Athabasca Glacier.. one of the Largest Glaciers in North America, the road up there was worth the trip on its own! the scenery was so Amazing it was Breathtaking! I can’t begin to describe the feeling you get when surrounded by something of the magnitude of those mountains! when we got to the Glacier we had about a 2km walk up to the ice flow, it was hard going.. no real track and in some places you would sink a couple of feet into the soft snow! but it was great fun and we eventually made it, took some photos and walked back again! then started our 188km Drive back to the Pub.. er.. I mean Banf for a good nights sleep!! 😉
Ok.. so It’s been a very long time since I updated my Blog… My Bad!
Alot has happened since Last year… I’m not going to go into it.. but I’m getting used to Single life slowly and just making the most of every opportunity to travel and meet new cool people! 🙂
So… I am now in Canada.. (Banf to be exact) here for a month skiing and just bumming around… Meeting heaps of cool people, and trying to get in some relaxing too before I fly back to Germany again at the end of April to De-install L.O.T.R Exhibition yet again and take it down to Spain for the month of June 🙂
After nearly 2 months in Europe I will be back in Sunny (ha yea right!) Freezing wellington.. just as the Ski season picks up there 🙂
I will try to keep adding little tid bits here but, in case I really can’t be Buggered, here are some photo’s so far… (really crap of my phone so please forgive the quality) I will keep putting photos on there as I get more 🙂

Well, Mia was most surprised when we turned up at the airport on Sat morning.. she thought we were heading of somewhere nice for the weekend, like Rotorua or Taupo… I had told her nothing.. she didn’t know if we were flying.. going on the ferry.. Train or bus…. then when we got to the airport I handed her her passport and the look on her face was priceless!!
We flew wellington to Brisbane then jumped on the Pre-organised Transfere bus up the sunshine coast to noosa where we had a nice room in a First class resort all pre booked and payed for 🙂
we had a lovely weekend in Noosa, just relaxing and going for lots of walks around the beautiful coast and through the Forests…
It was really nice to get away for a couple of days to a warmer climate, Mia really enjoyed herself, I think its just what we both needed!
Love Noosa and the entire Sunshine coast, if you haven’t been I strongly recomend it!! Warm all year round and you can catch wee puffer fish with your bare hands in about 2″ of water!! yay for puffers!!
Now we are back in Wellington’s lovely cold weather.. looking forward to driving up to Gizzy in a week or so, should be warmer up there..
yay!! oh and Dana flys back into NZ today!! can’t wait to catch up! “Hi Dana!!!”
Hope everyone is well!!

Well, Last day in Canada today 🙁 have to fly home tomorrow…. So… we tried somthing truly Canadian, Skating on a frozen lake!! It was Awsome, nothing quite like just slipping out into the middle of the big body of water and skating around! Thanks Cousin Cathy (with a “C”) for giving us the oportunity and Jim for lending me your Skates!!
I have stuck a few photos up of the Lake where we went Skating and also a few shots from our big walk around lost lake yesterday! Such a beautiful place.. Whistler is like I have always imagined Canada would be.. huge Mountains all around as far as the eye can see, not too far from the Ocean, heaps of lakes and Rivers, Float planes to hop from lake to lake, you can Ski, Climb, Mountain bike, go white water rafting, Camping, Tramping.. play with Mooses, Racoons and Bears!! (oh my!) So much to do here all year round….It would be Perfect if it wasn’t for the hundreds of Australians packed into Whistler like Sardines, no escaping the Aussies! Whats with that?… oh well, I guess you cant win them all !!
Well, we are coming home… See all you Wellington guys soon!!
Goodbye for now Canada! Until next year!
Well, end of day three of skiing, here are some more photos of the amazing Whistler Blackcomb Mountains..

Mia’s cousin Cathy with a “C” just wanted me to make clear that although Canada is in my Gallery under “America” it is in fact, not really America at all, what my Gallery should say is “North America” That way there is no confusion ….. got it?
(I would change it but it would take to long to change all the links in my Blog and I really can’t be Arsed at the moment ! ) Sorry Cathy with a “C”
Right .. good ! O.K…
Er thats it really…
Sorry….
